Australis Engineering P/L of Sydney, Australia has won a Highly Commended Award for Engineering Excellence for its Material Handling and Warehousing project at the Royal Australian Mint at the recent 2009 Engineers Australia Excellent Awards ceremony in Canberra. With more than 85,000 members, Engineers Australia is the largest and most diverse professional body for engineers in Australia. The award was won jointly with the Royal Australian Mint.

Helping Australia Sort Its Coins
November, 2008
Three of our Econ-O-Lift™ bucket elevators, feeders and dumpers have been installed at the Royal Australian Mint in Canberra and are being used in feeding finished coins to the packaging facility for packaging into rolls and bags. One of our Elecon™ Bi-Axial Bucket Elevators was also installed to deliver blanks to each of the Mint’s 13 stamping presses. Equipment was manufactured at our Charlotte, N. C. plant.

Gough Econ, Inc. is now under
new ownership...but the faces are familiar. David Risley and Don
Calvert have purchased the company from Gough Holdings, Ltd. Both
Risley and Calvert have long-time affiliations with the U.S. operations,
and they continue the roles of president/CEO and finance vice-president,
respectively.

a Laser Cutter and CNC Press Brake. This allows us to manufacture every
material component for our equipment in-house. with the net result being
superior quality and greater economy. It also gives us more
control over production schedules. We're excited to bring even more
value to our customers with more economical units that also reflect enhanced
fit and finish. |

The progression from initial consultation to final installation at seven
